Integrates telephony-specific capabilities and validation testing
NEI, a provider of application platforms and lifecycle support services for software developers, OEMs and service providers, has launched E-4000 R4 enterprise communications platform, which offers the combination of dual processors, quad-core processing, and telephony card integration in a 4U footprint.
The company said that the new system integrates telephony-specific capabilities and validation testing to enable time-to-market for high-density applications in a rack-mountable system. It is suitable for enterprise communications deployments such as voice mail/messaging, interactive voice response, contact centre applications, auto dialing, unified messaging, online data entry/query, and speech-enabled auto attendants.
NEI said that the platform addresses the power and cooling capabilities required to integrate multiple high-end telephony cards and supports up to five telephony boards, providing capabilities for up to 20 T1/E1 digital network interfaces, 60 analog loop-start points, 300 station tapped lines, or a combination of interfaces, loop-start ports, and tapped lines.
The new E-4000 R4 features a quad-core Intel Xeon 5500 processor and supports up to 96GB DDR3 memory, six PCIe slots, and redundant hot-swap 800W AC power supplies for maximum reliability, the company said.
