Reporting season is almost upon us again. One early sign is the usual deluge of profit warnings. One of the first comes from enterprise application integration ISV New Era of Networks Inc, which said yesterday it will report a second-quarter loss of between $0.12 and $0.22 per share, excluding acquisition charges, compared with a profit of $0.12, or $3.7m, the consensus estimate as reported by First Call. Revenue will be between $25m and $30m it says, compared with $11.5m a year ago. It blames expenses and deal closure problems and says it believes the overall market is strong.
