Netcomm Ltd has changed its name to General DataComm Advanced Research Centre Ltd, following its takeover by General DataComm Industries Inc last year. The General says all manufacture of Asynchronous Transfer Mode switches will transfer to the US, leaving the UK operation to concentrate on research and development – it is embarking on an ambitious recruitment drive for software and digital hardware engineers with design experience.
