Identity and access management software vendor Netegrity Inc is gearing up to launch TransactionMinder 6.0, a centralized, policy-based security platform for web services and service oriented architectures.
The new version will be available at the end of September. New features include greater flexibility in deployment options and support for the WS-Security standard.
The company said its centralized security policy platform enables enterprises to extend their overall identity management infrastructure to web services, ensuring that security policies are being applied consistently across web applications as well as web services.
The latest version supports the WS-Security 1.0 standard so companies can conduct cross-company, document-based federation using standard WS-Security compliant authentication mechanisms.
It also secures a wider variety of web services architectures, including proxy mode or agents running natively on web servers such as .NET and Apache. In proxy mode, TransactionMinder 6.0 can now secure web services running on application servers such as IBM WebSphere and BEA WebLogic.
