The high level of consolidation within the CRM sector that has left few independent pure-plays in operation has not deterred a new entrant, eContact Software Ltd, which is being formed around the acquisition of CRM service software from Magic Software Enterprises Ltd.
eContact plans to acquire the CRM business of Israeli-based integration and development vendor Magic Software Enterprises Ltd, principally its eContact CRM service application. Its key feature is its blending of call center and internet-based customer service with billing services for Wi-Fi and Wi-Max. The intention is to develop a complete CRM system, making use of SOA and component applications, with eContact as the core of its service offering. Its target market is SMEs, and it plans to support Linux, Windows, and i5 platforms.
