Enorex Microsystems Inc, the start-up selling cheap Alpha-based workstations (CI No 3,073), isn’t talking, but word from the field has it that it’s having exactly the kind of impact other Digital Equipment Corp OEM customers feared at the time. Rather than avoid their accounts as apparently promised, Enorex has forced them into cutting prices, eroding their margins, with no evidence of an expanding market, the original reason for encouraging Enorex.
