Software company NJK Ltd has developed and released AVIMS, a software package designed to assist in building graphical user interfaces for applications: use the tool enables screens designed with AVIMS to be converted to a highlevel programming language and incorporated into applications; the company claims that the work of software development using graphical user interfaces is reduced by a factor of 10:1; the system is targeted at companies that do inhouse software development and runs on Sony Corp News, NEC Corp’s EWS 4800, Yokogawa Hewlett Packard Co’s HP 9000 series and IBM Corp’s RS/6000 Powerstations; the thing sells for $2,820.
