From April, five Northern Telecom Meridian SL-1 switches will support Computer Integrated Telephony worldwide, with prices ranging from $10,000 to $20,000; enhanced Serial Data Interface cards are $1,000 each. The release is based on Northern Telecom’s ISDN Applications Protocol, ISDN/AP. Northern Telecom says the deal allows integration of automatic call distribution with companies’ databases, and screen-based dialling.
