Northern Telecom Ltd continues to expect sales, profits and margins to improve in 1988, it told analysts in North Carolina this week, adding that the distribution pattern of our second half performance is shifting towards a very strong fourth quarter, to offset a weaker-than-anticipated third quarter, which mean nine month earnings a few cents below the 82/ a share this time last year; it has also initiated a corporate-wide simplification programme to ensure value for money from research investment.
