Northern Telecom Ltd has won a three year $33m contract to convert Halifax, Nova Scotia-based Maritime Telegraph & Telephone Co Ltd’s network to fully digital technology: Northern Telecom will replace 10 older analogue switches across the province with digital multiplex systems; upgrading has already begun and will continue until 1994.
