Novant Health has selected the TouchWorks electronic health record from clinical software firm Allscripts to automate and connect its 587 physicians across 141 locations in North and South Carolina. The contract is valued at $6 million and marks the largest single TouchWorks deal in Allscripts’ history, the company said.
Novant will implement the full TouchWorks electronic health record as well as the TouchWorks Analytics module, which measures key performance indicators, manages pay-for-performance initiatives, supports clinical trials, and provides patient population management.
Allscripts says the not-for-profit health system will be able to quickly access key performance indicators such as patient outcomes and receive automatic alerts when key indicators fall out of range.
Novant will replace its existing ambulatory practice management systems with the Centricity Business revenue cycle management system, which will be integrated with TouchWorks.
