Novell Inc has moved quickly to merge its sales force with that of its WordPerfect Corp acquisition which roughly doubles its worldwide total to over 1,600 people, but says it is still too early to say how many of these represent duplicated functions and will have to go. Novell says that the big acquisition also adds eight new country sites, in Holland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Portugal, Chile, Argentina and Venezuela. The combination also significantly increase its presence in Eastern Europe.
