Lockheed Corp has become the third company after Unisys and Allied-Signal to give one year’s notice of resignation from the Microelectronics & Computer Technology Corp research co-operative in Austin, Texas. Lockheed is going because it wants all its research cash to go into its own two software research centres, Allied because it is selling its Amphenol arm. Unisys, a member through Sperry but not Burroughs, gave no reason.
