A few weeks after announcing System V/4 for IBM’s PS/2 Models 90 and 95 (CI No 2,062), Scotts Valley, California-based Microport Inc has got its version of Unix System V.4 ready for Digital Equipment Corp’s 80486-based machines. It says it’s the first product fully to support the Intel Corp Express motherboard architectures with DEC’s high-performance graphics, SCSI and networking chip sets and adaptors. DEC is supporting Microport customers. Microport is promising an optimised version of its software for the Pentium chip.
