Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp will increase its planned investment in Integrated Services Digital Network lines to about $900m in the year to March 31 1997, from its initial plan of $310m, according to the Nippon Keizai Shimbun, which said the investment plan was raised to cope with sharply increasing demand for ISDN lines mainly as a result of the Internet boom. As a result, capacity will increase by about 900,000 lines compared with the initial plan, which was for an increase of only 230 ,000 lines.
