Nynex Corp, still assiduously breaking up its portfolio of software companies so carefully assembled, got shot of its Vista Concepts Inc unit to Fairfax, Virginia-based American Management Systems Inc on undisclosed terms, but Stockholder Systems Inc and DISC Inc clearly proved a harder sell, and Nynex has had to turn to the experts and let them go to New York investment firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a specialist in buyouts, which says it plans to merge the two firms.
