British Olivetti Ltd is to spend UKP1m on what it says is the most extensive Christmas marketing campaign it has run, to promote its Quaderno companion personal computers, PCS range and entry level bubble ink-jet printers: ads are to appear in the trade and national press, and on London’s radio waves; retailers will be issuing UKP160-worth of redemption vouchers for carry cases, cables or external disk drives with Quaderno machines, and UKP100-worth of games free with PCS models; some outlets make around 50% of their sales in the pre-Christmas period, Olivetti reckons.
