Mitch Kapor’s Cambridge, Massachusetts-based ON Technology Corp has acquired fellow NetWare electronic mail software developer Da Vinci Systems Corp on undisclosed terms. The expanded company will work to grow and enhance Da Vinci’s eMAIL and ON’s Notework, and named Da Vinci chief executive Bill Nussey as chairman. ON also reports that it received some $8.5m in private financing, of which $3m came from Novell Inc, with various venture capital firms and founder Mitch Kapor providing the balance.
