Oracle Corp and Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp are discussing a possible tie-up in the interactive cable television business, the Nippon Keizai Shimbun reported: Oracle chief executive officer Larry Ellison was quoted as saying that his company is considering conducting an interactive cable service on a trial basis in Japan, using Nippon Telegraph’s telephone lines, but participation by other Japanese companies will also be necessary.
