Pacific Telesis Group Inc has decided to concentrate its international energies on building up cellular interests around the world, and is considering selling its eight UK cable television franchises, which cover a total of about 1m homes and include four that are operational, in Peterborough, Derby, Bolton and Norwich, and others being built in Manchester and Doncaster. It has already sold its East London cable interests to BCE Inc of Toronto.
