Biometric systems firm Pay By Touch has acquired Capture Resource, an image and data capture company that offers customer loyalty and gift services. PBT hopes to expand its own loyalty services and its customer base with the purchase.
Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
With the acquisition, PBT will manage Capture Resource’s more than 120 million consumer loyalty profiles from more than 12,000 supermarkets and retailers. PBT will now be able to offer interactive gift and reward programs, as well customized reporting, design, and Web access services. And PBT retailers will improve their capture capability and customer management, the company said.
PBT in October completed a $130m round of private funding and bought US credit card processor CardSystems Solutions, the company that made quite a splash this summer when 40 million credit card accounts were hacked from its systems.
