Philips Electronics NV has for some time been looking for a partner for its medical systems division, and so an agreement announced on Friday with Hewlett-Packard Co could lead on to bigger things. The Philips unit and Hewlett’s medical products group have signed a collaboration pact under which they will share existing technologies and jointly develop future ones in the field of diagnostic ultrasound imaging.
