PhoneTel Technologies Inc, Cleveland is to buy American Public Telecom Inc, Advanced Pay Systems Inc and London Communications Inc for about $15m in cash. It expects the acquisition of the three companies to increase by about 4,000 the number of pay telephones it owns and operates.
