The Pyramid Technology division of Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme AG insists it has exactly the same kind of agreement to supply technology to public telephone exchange manufacturer Siemens Stromberg Carlson as Sun Microsystems Inc (CI No 3,067). Although Sun originally insisted it was the preferred supplier of hardware, software and services for Stromberg’s efforts to turn its telco customers into Internet service providers, Pyramid says it will do the same, and indeed had an agreement signed prior to Sun.
