Sir Ernest Harrison is apparently planning a ceremonial conflagration of his creation Racal Electronics Plc so that he can go out in a blaze of glory. According to the UK Sunday Telegraph, he plans to disperse the assets of the company in a series of disposals, mergers and management buyouts. People can stop worrying about the succession problem because there won’t be one – Racal in the current form will cease to exist, a source close to Sir Ernie advised the newspaper.
