Supports environments delivering up to 20Gbps of application switching throughput capacity
Radware, a provider of integrated application delivery offerings, has unveiled Alteon 5412 application delivery platform, which it claims to drive performance and productivity and meets customers’ current and next-generation data centre network and application needs.
The company said that the new product runs the same Alteon OS as previous models, providing customers smooth migration to the new platform, without any risk or learning curve for integration into the data centre environment.
According to Radware, the Alteon 5412 offers faster response times and support high-end environments delivering up to 20Gbps of application switching throughput capacity and up to 340,000 Layer 4 transactions per second (TPS). It also offers four 10 gigabit ethernet (GE) ports and 12 GE ports, enabling customers to process the highest network traffic capacities required by data centre environments.
In addition, the new platform’s Virtual Matrix Architecture creates a virtual matrix of memory and processor resources across the switch that can be used to process traffic from any port at any time, allowing faster layer 4-7 processing capabilities.
