IBM Corp regularly seems to need outside help for its new products these days, and it appears that Fremont, California storage subsystems specialist Zitel Corp lent a hand on the new Ramac arrays: Zitel says it will continue to work with IBM together to provide services on the same project that created the recently-announced IBM Ramac storage array product line; it adds that under the services agreement a patent was issued for cached actuator storage device technology.
