It may seem strange that Computergram seldom devotes much space to published surveys and market forecasts and reports, but we know rather too much about the way these things are often done, and it is very difficult to determine how the information was collected and whether it is any good, and we’d feel a little uncomfortable if, as a UK IBM paper recently did, we’d run a splash on the results of a survey of 600 IBM UK sites that managed to get replies from only 28 of them.
