Isleworth, Middlesex-based Telecommunication Information Systems Ltd has launched a digital voice mail system, Repartee, which provides messaging services for mailboxes, or company-wide centralised telephone answering services. Integrating with most major switchboards, Repartee uses a series of spoken prompts to detect whether a call is from the public, enabling calls to be handled without the need for operators; the system also enables callers to record a message and place it in a message box of the intended recipient, who can access it by either phoning in or having it delivered via phone, extension or pager.
