Vienna, Virginia-based Routing Technology Software Inc now has a 33MHz 80486-based version of its Roadshow system workstation for greater speed and capacity in running the company’s software for determining least-cost delivery routes over broad geographic regions of the US: the system analyses information about the bakery’s distribution process and uses proprietary video routing technology to calculate the most cost-effective routes and schedules for pick-up and delivery, and it puts up colour images of commercial maps on a high resolution display screen.
