Ryder System Inc, a provider of logistics and transportation solutions, has announced it will establish a strategic relationship with Anderson Consulting and IBM Global Services. The agreement, expected to be cemented within the next 60 days, will include cooperative development of new logistics technologies, the improvement of Ryder’s existing systems and the outsourcing of Ryder’s information techhnology and telecommunication operations. The outsourcing aspect alone is expected to be worth $1.4bn over the initial ten-year term of the deal.
