Novell Inc has topped the $2m mark with sales of its Advanced NetWare version 2.0a local area network operating systems for IBM PS/2 microcomputers and says that, since the product was introduced in July, there have been more than 1,000 requests for it: Novell claims that, to date, Advanced NetWare is the only network operating system which supports the PS/2’s Micro Channel architecture and supports Models 25, 30, 50 and 60 as workstations and Models 50 and 60 as file servers; it also says it intends to support the Model 80 as a network server when it’s available.
