Seagate Technology Inc is to double its investment in the Chinese city of Wuxi, bringing its total investment in China to $90m. It will spend an additional $32m on building, renovation and equipment at its disk drive assembly plant in Wuxi, including an additional 58,000 square foot building, to bring its fixed asset investment in Wuxi to $52m. It is looking to occupy the additional space in June. Seagate now produces 2.5 million disk drives in China each quarter.
