Siebe Plc is going to have to fight for the hand of Whessoe Plc. Seatex A/S of Norway and Endress+Hauser AB launched a joint 52.6m pound counter-bid for the company, in an attempt to trump the 46m pounds agreed offer launched by Siebe two weeks ago. Seatex had already agreed to buy 3.14 million Whessoe shares representing about 10.6% of its share capital.
