Sega Enterprises Ltd is to launch joint ventures to distribute video games software over cable television networks in Japan and the US: subscribers to some cable networks in Japan will be able to receive Sega games over the cable and play them on their television sets for $28; the company is establishing Sega Digital Communications to distribute the new service on July 1 and will provide about 30 games titles per month; it plans a similar distribution business in more than 12 US states and territories in a joint venture with Time Warner Inc and Tele-communications Inc.
