Siemens AG is reportedly twisting IBM’s arm over the proposed deal on Rolm Corp. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, instead of buying most of the Rolm business, the West German company has taken a closer look at Rolm, and now wants to put the PABX manufacturer into a joint venture with IBM. The paper also suggests that Siemens is saying that unless an agreement is completed on its new terms by May 1, it will walk away from the deal.
