The volume of spam dropped by 6% in February over the levels seen in January, but phishing rates rose with as many as one in four emails now seen as some form of phishing attempt.
Among other headlines stemming from data released by messaging security vendor MessageLabs Inc, India is cited as now having to cope with the highest levels of spam while the majority of all junk email is still found to emanate from the US.
