Commenting on this week’s end of year figures – pre-tax profits of UKP215,000, against a loss last time of UKP475,000 – the board of Luton-based micro distributor Spectrum Group Plc said that following years of trying to eliminate losses and borrowings the group has been able to develop and expand the more profitable areas of the business, growth came from the core business of computer supplies and related services, and all operations were profitable in the year; the company also said that the acquisition of IBM and 3M consumable products distributor MatchData last year led to a substantial increase in earnings.
