Edinburgh’s Spider Systems Ltd has launched what it claims is the first terminal server to support a fully GOSIP-compliant ISO Virtual Terminal Protocol: the SpiderPort M250 supports the protocol over the full UK and US Gosip stack, including TP4, CLNP and LLC1, as well as TCP/IP and Local Area Transport; Virtual Terminal Protocol is the only ISO protocol specified for remote network terminal connection, and adds functionality including log-in and terminal type negotiation; no word on pricing for it.
