Sun Microsystems Inc has licensed Lachman Associates Inc’s TCP/IP product for use in the forthcoming SunOS 4.0 and AT&T Unix System V Release 4 operating system. Under the agreement, Sun has the rights to use the System V Streams TCP/IP product across its product line, as well as for part of the joint operating system development work with AT&T. Lachman Associates developed the TCP/IP source code technology in conjunction with Convergent Technologies as part of a joint development agreement signed in 1986.
