Infrastructure of audio, web and video conferences, and unified communication services
Energy company E.ON has awarded a multi-year comprehensive ICT outsourcing contract to T-Systems, a Deutsche Telekom subsidiary.
Under the contract, valued approximately €1bn, T-Systems will be in charge of the E.ON group’s international voice and data communications; operation and management of fixed-network and mobile telephony.
In addition, the contract also covers the infrastructure of audio, Web and video conferences, unified communication services and the operation of the entire data network structure.
Further, approximately 220 E.ON employees at various international sites will migrate to T-Systems.
The contract with E.ON applies to E.ON sites in European countries including: Germany, UK, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Bulgaria, Italy and the Netherlands.
T-Systems CEO and member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom Reinhard Clemens said this contract is a milestone for the Group’s new ‘Energy’ business area.
