Sounds like an interesting business opportunity for the likes of BSR International Plc: according to Electronic News, Taiwanese personal computer manufacturers are complaining that weaknesses in the country’s power supply are damaging their ability to compete effectively in the world market and, in particular, that over-extended lead times are impairing the design and delivery of new models; the need for Taiwanese power supply makers to import up to 70% of components used has been cited as a major reason for the current difficulties.
