Tandem Computers UK Ltd and Unisys are among the beneficiaries of a monster UKP50m investment in new branch computer systems for Scotland’s Clydesdale Bank – now owned by National Australia Bank. Unisys is supplying 3,000 B39 master and B38 and B28 BTOS workstations under a UKP16m contract, and Tandem Computers is supplying the central computers – UKP4m for a top-end multiprocessor NonStop VLX complex.
