Server-based computing software vendor Tarantella Inc has signed a deal with IBM Corp that sees its secure remote access product for Linux shipping alongside IBM’s eServer xSeries and BladeCenter systems.
The Santa Cruz, California-based software vendor’s Secure Global Desktop Enterprise Edition product enables Java web browser-based remote access to server-based applications. The technology is available in configurations of one, 200, 400 or 600 users.
As well as IBM, Tarantella has also inked a deal with one of its business partners, Mainline Information Systems. The value added reseller agreement enables Mainline to sell the Secure Global Desktop Enterprise Edition product alongside IBM’s direct sales force using IBM part numbers and pricing.
