Claims to simplify business and operational support systems
Tektronix Communications has unveiled a suite of new Network Intelligence products that collect, correlate and analyse media and signaling data from IP telecommunication networks, turning data into actionable information.
The new offering of products consists of the GeoProbe G10, a new high-speed 10GE probe; three new analyser applications; and a common platform that provides a single, integrated framework for current and future applications.
According to Tektronix, the new GeoProbe G10 improves a company’s Gi, Gn and data centre monitoring offering and features distributed architecture optimised to handle high bandwidth IP traffic; Iris Analyser toolset, which includes the Iris Protocol Analyzer (IPA), Iris Session Analyzer (ISA) and Iris Traffic Analyzer (ITA), to provide L2 to L7 troubleshooting by characterising IP traffic by links, applications and servers.
The IrisView is a configurable software framework that provides a single, integrated platform for all applications, including feeds to customer experience management (CEM) systems and third party OSS, BSS applications.
The company claims that with the introduction of the G10 and the ITA, carriers can manage the exponential growth in IP traffic and new services from the mobile data network to the data centre environment. Operators will be able to troubleshoot transport, application and server problems that are related to mobile data applications for faster problem resolution and the successful management of higher revenue generating applications and services.
Mark Driedger, vice president and general manager of network management at Tektronix Communications, said: The Iris suite of products gives operators additional insight into the end-to-end management and operations of their networks as shown in recent successful trials with select North American and European tier one customers. In addition, as the underlying complexities that support multimedia and data applications increase, operators are looking for network intelligence solutions that simplify their business and operational support systems.
