Telefonica Servicios, Telefonica de Espana SA’s value-added network services subsidiary created last year to take advantage of the Spanish government’s Telecommunications Liberalisation Law, is already offering viewdata and radiosearch services and expects to turn over $6m this year: for its paging service the company has created a service centre and connects users to both Ibertex access centres and terminals that can be paged by Telefonica; in April the company will also offer two electronic mail services (Mensatex for text and Mensavoz for speech), and in November add an Electronic Data Interchange service.
