Dutch business intelligence software maker Temtec has inked a deal with Microsoft Corp to market a private-label version of its OLAP analysis and reporting front-end tool.
Microsoft will distribute Temtec’s Executive Viewer software as part of the Analysis Services component of its SQL Server-based BI platform. The software allows non-technical users to more easily access and analyze multidimensional data stored in Analysis Service cubes.
The deal builds on Temtec’s status as a Microsoft certified gold partner. Temtec hopes to increase its penetration into the mid-market by targeting customers using Microsoft’s Office and Dynamics SL business applications.
Temtec also provides optimized self-serve capabilities for other OLAP products including Hyperion Essbase, Applix TM1 and SAP NetWeaver BI. Temtec has around 500 customers worldwide using its Executive Viewer software.
