The UK Department of Social Security says that it has nearly finished evaluating four Local Office, Sup-port for Policy, Forms Helper, and Claimant Advice demonstration systems, designed to improve the quality of customer service: the models were developed over the last five years, as part of the UKP5.5m Alveysponsored DHSS Demonstrator Project, by a consortium led by ICL: the other members of the consortium are Logica Plc, Imperial College, the University of Lancaster, and the Surrey University in Guildford.
