The US International Trade Commission has issued an exclusion order preventing the import of erasable, programmable read-only memories by General Instrument Corp, Microchip Technology Inc, Hyundai Electronics Industries Co Ltd, Atmel Corp, Cypress Electronics Inc, All-American Inc and Pacesetter Electronics Inc, after investigating a 1987 complaint from Intel Corp and deciding that the EPROMS did infringe the Santa Claran’s patents.
