Toshiba Corp says it expects its share of the US market in notebook computers to increase to 19% when 1992’s figures are added up, and to exceed 22% in 1993 against about 14.3% last year: the machines will be available in 700 retail outlets throughout the US by the end of the first quarter of 1993, up from 100; it also says that it will have introduce sub-notebooks weighing only 2 lbs to 3 lbs and will introduce portable computers with better colour definition and larger screens late this year or early next year.
